1.If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would it be?
When I was very young I thought that if I stayed in the water too long, I would turn into a mermaid. I imagine that I fell in love with the idea of being like Ariel because I started lessons and competitive swimming when I was just five years old. As fate would have it, this love of water led me to my platform “Swim Safe with Style” and promoting water safety to others.

2.If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
My first response is to say that I wish I had singing talent. Truth is, I can sing - just not as well as I would like. I love watching artists show off their creative talent in glass blowing. It is amazing. I am in awe of how someone can take tiny crystals of glass and turn it into a work of art. I would love to be able to create something that brings others joy.

3.When do you feel a child or teen becomes an adult?
I would have to say that my biggest support is my “Fairy Godmother” Lisa. She always helps to guide and lead me in the right direction. Lisa is truly one of a kind and always encourages me to find my “inner sparkle!” Because of her, I can confidently wear the color red, pick out the perfect pair of earrings and walk into a room in just the right heel.

4.What do you feel you have learned in life that will be the most useful?
Without a doubt, my Princess Leia Organa costume that I wore when I was just under two years old is my favorite. Since I was named after this amazing on screen role model, it’s awesome to realize that I am also becoming a strong, competent leader through pageantry, hard work and community service.

5.What do you feel is the hardest job in the world and why?
A song I always turn up on the radio and still dance to is “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper. I grew up listening to a lot of 80’s music with my parents. It has a great dance beat and makes me smile because it reminds me of family time. We all need to remember not to take ourselves too seriously and to just have some fun in whatever we are doing.
