Jacqueline Towle - Top Ten
1.If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would it be?
Because I did not yet understand where babies came from, the funniest thing I remember believing as a young child was that anyone at anytime could go to any hospital and just pick out a baby that they wanted to bring home with them. I assumed new babies arrived at the hospital all the time, so if parents wanted to have more children, they’d just go back to the hospital and pick out another baby.
2.If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
The one talent I wish I had is acting. It’s a talent that’s included in the performing arts, which is why I’m probably interested in it. Similar in some ways to competitive dance, I love that acting allows you to transform into different characters and different personalities. Acting can be an outlet that allows a person to express themselves creatively. I’d love to try theater and even pursue acting classes eventually.
3.When do you feel a child or teen becomes an adult?
Other than my very large family, my biggest supporters are my friends. Most are my age, however, there’s one friend who’s a bit older. She’s an 80ish-year-old grandma named Myrna who used to live by us. Because our own grandmas lived in different states, we grew close to Myrna over the years. Although she moved, we still visit her several times a year, and she still continues to support me and all of my activities.
4.What do you feel you have learned in life that will be the most useful?
Although I’ve had many favorites, one of the best costumes I’ve ever worn for Halloween was two years ago with my dance team. We dressed up in a group costume with a farm theme. I was dressed as a cowgirl, another girl was dressed as a farmer, and the rest of the girls were dressed as different farm animals. I love that there was no negative competition with one another. We just had fun together!
5.What do you feel is the hardest job in the world and why?
Similar to competitive dance and acting, music is included in the performing arts and is an outlet that allows a person to express themselves. I absolutely love music and the way it creates emotion. “Baby” by Justin Beeber is one of the many songs that make me want to dance everytime I hear it. It’s also a part of an inside joke with my friends, so that makes it extra fun!
