Sarah Bertrand
1.If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would it be?
My favorite word is definitely "fun". What girl doesn't like to have fun? I try to have fun with everything I do; being with friends, shopping, strolling on the beach, competing, or even studying. Enjoying life is what teen years are about; and I’m making the most of every day!
2.If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I LOVE trying out new make-up! This helps me keep up with the current trends in fashion. But if a trend is not so great on me, I let it go. I wash make-up off every night and, I use a TON of moisturizer. I hate having dry skin!
3.When do you feel a child or teen becomes an adult?
I take most pride in my current title of Miss Teen Illinois International. Although pageants have made me a better public speaker and boosted my confidence, earning this title has underscored the importance of supporting causes and has focused me on being a better citizen and a community leader.
4.What do you feel you have learned in life that will be the most useful?
Friday! What teenager doesn’t love Friday? A week of homework, studying, tests, and etc. at school just makes Friday even sweeter! Friday night football games at my school are amazing and I love hanging out with my friends on the weekends.
5.What do you feel is the hardest job in the world and why?
“Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.” No object could ever bring me more “luck” than my family and friends. Having them to support me and give me honest advice is truly a gift that has prepared me for future opportunities like this pageant.
